New York
October 10th, 2006I have to say that autumn has definitely arrived. It is a bit nippy out here, but then again, the weather in New York changes quite rapidly and the temperatures can drop 20 degrees in no time. For the most part, the weather is still nice and sunny – especially for those days when the Action Unit shoots… There is nothing you can do when God is your gaffer…but I have always been extremely lucky with weather days and during these weekends and three-day shoots, the weather has been cooperating and it has been in our favor. The actual shooting so far has been very productive and our unit has got some great footage in the can. Anyway, friends, have to run and find my old-time friend Bronco, who just landed in New York to celebrate my birthday. Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do, will be in touch. JVic

What kind of stuff are you filming now, still a car chase?

Hello, Vic.
I chanced by your web site, and couldn’t resist sending a greeting.
I worked for you on Joshua Tree (and a few other deals, since).
Must say, think of you oft… Hope to see you some time…!
Best Regards,

Mr. Armstrong,
I was doing some picture car work on I Am Legend the other day, and was hoping to track you down, but alas, you were not on set that day. I’m interested in getting into film stunts, having performed in a live-action stunt show, as well as choreographing fights for stage. I was wondering if you have any advice and, if at all possible, I might be able to come to the set some day and watch you work. If not, that’s understandable, but any tips you could give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
