I thought that I would dig out a few of my stunt photo’s and share some of the moments with you all over the next couple of weeks.
This photo is from the Tank Chase on "INDIANA JONES AND THE LAST CRUSADE" the horse is called "Huracan" and was an Adalucian cross bred. Harrison also rode "Huracan" in all his scenes and loved the horse so much he tried to take him back to the States but because "Huracan" was a stallion and getting on a bit in years it proved nearly impossible, so "Huracan" stayed with his owner Paco Ardura in Madrid.
When I did the jump I had to travel 18 feet laterally to clear the gap between the ledge and the tank and also the tank tracks that rolled around over the top of the tank.

I guess you all know my family are all basically in the stunt business, here is a photo of my wife Wendy and my daughter Nina playing around at home with a friend !
Wendy will be off to China in a little while to start setting up the action there ready for my arrival and Nina is working on "National Treasure 2" this weekend in London. My brother Andy lives almost exclusively in LA and does the same thing as I do coordinating stunts and directing although he also writes scripts as well. My Father in Law George Leech was one of the UK's founding fathers of stunts having been in the business since he doubled for James Mason in 1947. My 2 sons Bruce and Scott are busy in the business with Bruce having been with me here and now is off to Berlin on a big car chase picture and Scott is working here doubling Luke Ford from Australia. I also have a nephew James Armstrong
who worked for me on "I AM LEGEND" in New York as well as many other movies and he is a regular double for the lead in "PRISON BREAK" in Texas, he also directs a TV show at weekends in LA where he lives. My other nephew Jesse Johnson also lives in LA and is a stuntman but has been writing & directing a lot recently and is going great guns working his way up the directorial ladder with Pit Fighter (Steven Bauer), Last Sentinel (Katee Sackhoff, Keith David), Alien Agent (Mark Dacascos, Billy Zane), 5th Commandment (Bokeem Woodbine, Keith David), The Butcher (Eric Roberts, Robert Davi, Geoffrey Lewis, Michael Ironside).

This is a really cool bike that was built by Robert Gough who has been a family friend of mine for many years and in fact John his brother and Robert built the cinema in my house.
This bike raises up on hydraulic’s when it is not parked and it is powered by a twin Harley Davidson and runs like a dream, it has been exhibited in & won many design competitions.
All I need to do now is dream up a sequence for a movie where I can use it to its full potential, any suggestions !

Hi everybody, as you can see I now have more time to spend on my website while I am prepping "MUMMY 3" which is because I spend more time in the office at the moment until we start shooting.
So if any of you have written in before and did not get personal response I apologize and if you would like to write in again I will do my best to accommodate you and answer any questions or requests.
Go see a movie and make someone happy !
Stay safe, Vic

It was Harrison Ford’s birthday recently and as I am not working on INDY 4 I want to send mine and Wendy’s best wishes to him.
He is a little older than me but still looks fantastic and has been working out and my friends tell me from the set that he is just as good fun to work with as he was on the the other 3 INDY’S, he does have wicked sense of humour.
So have a good one big guy and hopefully we will meet up this fall when I am in LA.

Hi all you Daniel Craig fans, here is a rare photo of the man himself with (from the left, Stefan Zurcher, DC, Bill Carraro and myself). As you can see Daniel is still padded up to protect himself from the abuse I put him through being shot and sliding down into the glacier all day long. We shot up on the Junfruajoch for 6 days. Sometimes we were working at 11,000 feet but mostly around 7,500 feet.
Stefan Zurcher on the left is an old friend on mine from "ON HER MAJESTY’S SECRET SERVICE". I
n those day he was one of our star skiers but has progressed on to be THE go to man if you ever have to shoot a movie in the snow. Stef organised everything from showing me the location to organising the base camp to the catering to the mountain guides to the helicopters which was ajob in itself as we had about 90 flights a day ferrying the crew and equipment all over the glacier.
The 4th man in the picture is Bill Carraro who was my producer on the project and had the uneviable task of telling the studio what i had dreamed up and how much it would cost !! which he did to perfection and was a great support for me.
The whole shoot was put together in about 3 weeks which considering the complexity was amazing.

It is Canada Day today and I have to say it is a great celebration and there are tons of things going on in and around the old city in Montreal where I am staying. We have 3 day’s off from our preparation for "MUMMY 3" but of course there is still a lot of work to be done at home with all the paperwork that is generated these days.
We will be heavily into fight rehearsals next week as there is only about 4 weeks left until shooting begins. I have my main stunt crew here working out the fights in advance. Mark Southworth is my stunt coordinator, he also coordinated the additional shooting on "Golden Compass" for me recently in Switzerland, Mike Lambert is my fight coordinator he also worked on "Golden Compass" with me. Scott my youngest son is the stunt double for Luke Ford who plays Brendan Fraser’s son in "MUMMY 3" so it is quite a coincidence that he is also doubling a Ford like I did a few years ago, Bruce my eldest son is coming out with Dave Cronnely to set up some of our rigs for a few weeks and then he goes off to Berlin on another show but he will join up with us later in Shanghai China to do stunt driving for the big chase sequence through 1946 Shanghai. Wendy my wife will also be in China fine tuning the battle scenes and checking out the horse work before I get out there.
Here is the next generation of Armstrong stuntmen my young Grandson Robert Armstrong 4 years old.
