NEW UPDATES
July 18th, 2007Hi everybody, as you can see I now have more time to spend on my website while I am prepping "MUMMY 3" which is because I spend more time in the office at the moment until we start shooting.
So if any of you have written in before and did not get personal response I apologize and if you would like to write in againĀ I will do my best to accommodate you and answer any questions or requests.
Go see a movie and make someone happy !
Stay safe, Vic

Hi Vic, thank you so much for being so kind and answering our questions! Is the team rehearsing at Mel’s Cite du Cinema? “Playbackmag” said The Mummy 3 isn’t shooting until September at Mel’s Cite du Cinema, is it true?

What was it like working on “I Am Legend”? What will it have that will set it apart from the recent zombie/apoclyptic stuff like “28 weeks Later”?
July 21st, 2007 at 5:40 pm
Hi Matt, thanks for the message. "I am Legend' was a tough movie to work on because it had to have the streets of New York totally empty and at the same time tension has to be created purely by the threat of things to come, then for the pre part of the movie i.e. the evacuation, excitement has to be generated without being to obvious. I think it will be set apart from stuff like "28 weeks Later” by the creatures and how they interact with Will Smiths character, and of course you have the magnetism of Will Smith himself who I always find so believable and watchable. I have not seen the "creatures" yet but was a part of the development which sounds strange I know but it is all so top secret at the moment I cannot say much more except that I think it will be very original. Like you though Matt I will find out when the film is released. Thanks Vic

Hi Jane. The team is not rehearsing at Mel’s Cite du Cinema, I have a separate facility back towards town where we have all our pads and equipment set up and this is where the guy’s and girl’s do all the fight rehearsals then a little closer to the shooting when the sets are finished we move to the stages and complete the rehearsal in the actual set. We are due to start shooting at Mel’s Cite du Cinema at the end of July. Thanks for the enquiry. Regards Vic

Thank you so much Vic! Will Michelle Yeoh join the filming in Canada at the end of July? Will the big fights between Michelle and Jet Li be filmed in China or Canada? “Should be momentous” as you have said!
July 23rd, 2007 at 10:20 pm
Hi Jane, Michelle has joined us now but is not training hard with us at the moment because her fight with Jet Li is set to be shot in China so we have time. We are planning on it being “Momentous” because a lot of people are getting very excited at the prospect of the two of them squaring up and going for it.
Regards Vic x

So is Michelle Yeoh in Montreal now?
July 24th, 2007 at 4:21 pm
Hi Sun, Michelle was here but I have not seen her lately so she may be away, she is not in the sequences we are shooting at the moment. Vic
July 25th, 2007 at 4:30 am
Hi Vic, Good to know that you guys have started to shoot at Mel's Cite du Cinema! I'm wondering if the staff is still looking for any extras, of Chinese ethnicity, by any chance. Dan, from Montreal.
July 25th, 2007 at 4:26 pm
You have got two of the best action/martial arts actors on your team – Jet Li and Michelle Yeoh .
Are they going to fight in martial arts or contemporary styles? Will there be any martial art choreographer on board? Sorry I have so many questions…
July 26th, 2007 at 8:30 pm
Hi Jane, Michelle and Jet Li will fight in a martial arts style, which should be fantastic, I have Mike Lambert working on the basic routine and we will be then working with Jet Li and his team nearer the shooting date. Regards Vic
July 26th, 2007 at 8:32 pm
Dear Dan, I think that casting is all about done as we have relatively few extras on the shoot; the main bulk will come when we get to China. Regards Vic
July 26th, 2007 at 8:40 pm
Hi Sun, we have two Wong's on this movie Anthony Wong "Painted Veil" and Russell Wong who I worked with years ago on "Tai Pan". Regards Vic
July 26th, 2007 at 9:07 pm
Awesome! May I ask which Mike Lambert this is? (sorry, IMDb listed five Mike Lambert’s :-S)

Hi Vic, I heard there will be some snow scenes in the movie. Are those going to be filmed in Canada? Any shoot will be at China's Xi'an or Himalaya? Glad to hear the production has started. Best wishes for you and your team!
July 28th, 2007 at 7:56 pm
Hello Sun, there are snow scenes in the movie and they will probably be shot in Canada to simulate The Himalayas. Best Vic
July 29th, 2007 at 8:20 am
Hi Vic, can you tell us where in China will shooting be done? Will the locations include Shanghai, Xian and Zhejiang (at the Hengdian World Studios)? Thanks.
July 30th, 2007 at 8:05 am
Thanks Vic!! Which actors/actresses will be involved in horse riding scenes? Russell Wong? Michelle Yeoh?
July 30th, 2007 at 4:24 pm
Hi Soliel, We will be shooting in Beijing, Shanghai and at The World Studios in Hengdien towards the end of the year. Vic X
July 30th, 2007 at 4:25 pm

July 30th, 2007 at 5:23 pm
Hi Vic, thank you so much again for satisfying our curiosities! Once the production moves to China at the beginning of October, will it be back to Canada later (when?)? How long is the filming expected to last?
July 30th, 2007 at 5:24 pm
Will any shooting be at China’s Great Wall?
July 30th, 2007 at 8:27 pm
Hi Jane, we will be shooting in the vincinity of a very ancient part of the Great Wall; it is not an area that is at all recognisable though from the tourist areas. We will probably shoot in the Canadian Mountains in the winter when we have finished in China. Regards Vic X

Sounds wonderful. How’s the shooting going? Is there any plan to shoot any scene in India? Where in Beijing are you going to film?
August 1st, 2007 at 3:46 am
Hi Vic, is Michelle there yet?
August 2nd, 2007 at 12:30 am
Hi Jane, Shooting is going great guns and we are not planning to shoot in India. We will be outside Beijing in an area called Tianmo. Vic X
August 2nd, 2007 at 12:31 am
Hello Sun, Michelle is not here at the moment. Vic X
August 2nd, 2007 at 1:21 am
Tianmo Desert? Cool!! There are some sections of the Great Wall nearby too. May I ask where the horse scenes will be filmed? Has your wife already gone to China to check on horse work? Thx!!!
August 2nd, 2007 at 5:15 pm
Hi Vic, I read Chinese media said Michelle Yeoh and Jet Li won’t join shooting until September. Is that true? Will the scenes inside the tomb be filmed in Montreal or China?
August 3rd, 2007 at 7:22 am
Hi Vic, thank you so much! When will the shooting in Tianmo take place? In October?
August 3rd, 2007 at 7:55 pm
Hi Jane, I have no one out in China yet, the horse work will be around Tianmo and Hengdien and some other locations we have not chosen yet. The fights inside the tomb will be shot in Montreal around the end of September. Vic X
August 3rd, 2007 at 9:20 pm
Hello Sun, the shooting in Tianmo should begin around the beginning of October, Vic X
August 3rd, 2007 at 11:00 pm
Are you going to use real crocodiles for filming, Vic?
Bet at least CGI is needed for Yeti? How’s Anthony Wong doing? He is a cool actor and many Hong Kong film lovers really like him.
August 3rd, 2007 at 11:59 pm
No Crocodiles Jane, and you bet the Yeti’s will need enhancement. Anthony Wong is fantastic and a really strong actor but loves the action as well; I can understand him having a big following in Asia. Vic

What was your favorit stunt in I Am Legend? What was the toughest? This is so neat that you take the time to reply.
August 4th, 2007 at 7:59 pm
Hi matt, “I Am Legend” was tough as a shoot because we had to depict New York as an empty city so I had many many 3am starts to my shooting days so that I could shoot Will Smith driving around the empty streets. The toughest stunt would have to be a sequence in which (you know I cannot give any story points away) Will Smiths character is chased by the “Night Seekers!” you are going to have to see the movie which won’t be long to understand what I am talking about. Enjoy it Matt and thanks for writing in. Vic
August 6th, 2007 at 11:33 pm
Hi Vic, has John Hannah joined filming yet? Would like to hear more updates about the production – whatever you can tell us.
August 7th, 2007 at 9:17 pm
Hello Jane, John Hannah has not arrived yet but I will let you all know when he does, I posted a little about our progress so far on this site, enjoy. Vic X
August 10th, 2007 at 10:07 pm
Hi Vic, is Anthony Wong’s role in the film big? My guess is that he will play a negative role. Will he have a lot of fights? Thanks.
August 12th, 2007 at 7:21 pm
Dear Vic, I’m curious – does Jet Li’s Emperor/Mummy speak English or Chinese? or both?
