YOUNG WINSTON

August 28th, 2007

Here is a stunt photograph of me training a falling horse on "YOUNG WINSTON". It was my first big foreign horse movie and was shot in Marrakech, Morocco and directed by Sir Richard Attenborough who I worked with again on "A BRIDGE TOO FAR". I was taught to train falling horses by a great British stuntman called Ken Buckle who was one of the first stuntmen in the UK and he had worked on "GENGHIS KAHN" and "LAWRENCE of ARABIA" etc in the old days and he had in turn been trained by the great Yakima Canutt. Standing in the background is another great British horse stuntman called Tommy Reeves who had worked on all the classic horse pictures as well. The experience I learnt on that shoot has stood me in great stead to this day.

MUMMY 3 WEBSITE

August 28th, 2007

Here is the address of the new Rob Cohen website.

http://www.robcohenthemummy.com/

I have put a link on my page so that you can just click to access the site. Rob is going to keep you all informed about the progress of our shoot on "MUMMY 3". Obviously as well as that I will keep you up to speed with what the stunt team and what action the actors are involved with.

The response to ISABELLA LEONG has been fantastic and I have had nearly 5000 hits a day on the website. So thank you all of you action aficionado's and rest assured I will keep you all up to speed with our progress.

ISABELLA LEONG

August 25th, 2007

This is a candid photo of Isabella taken especially for all her fans that have been writing in requesting one, Isabella say’s a big "HI" to you all.

She really is a great girl and as you can see from the dust and her make up she was slap bang in the middle of a big action sequence when she came out to take this picture for you all.

Isabella reminds me very much of an Asian Cameron Diaz. I worked with Cameron on "CHARLIE’S ANGELS 1" & "GANGS OF NEW YORK" and she had the same enthusiasm and energy when doing her stunts as well as the natural ability to have the whole crew love her that Isabella has, it is a great gift and I am sure we will be seeing a lot more of Isabella Leong in the west after "MUMMY 3" is released.

ROB & VIC

August 22nd, 2007

These are photo’s from the set of "MUMMY 3" of myself and Director Rob Cohen.

We are standing in the "Courtyard Set" which as you can see is snow covered and will be set high up in the Himalayas when you see it in the movie. Rob is close to finishing off his shooting on this set and I expect to move in there next week to tidy up whatever action is left. All is going great guns and maybe I will take some pics of Isabella & Co later this week for you guy’s time permitting

ENJOY

SHOW REEL

August 20th, 2007

Have a look at the "New Show Reel" section of this web site, it will give you an idea of a few of the sequences I have shot. I am really proud of Heath Ledger in "The Four Feathers" clip where you can see him do a full pony express mount onto a galloping horse and he rides out in a big close up all in one shot, it is a gag a lot of stuntmen would love to do as well. And many thanks to all the other actors you see doing their own stunts as well as the stuntmen and women supporting them, it is all a great team effort.

INSIDE STUNTS is a fantastic publication and anybody interested in stunt work should try and get a copy of it from their local newsagent. If there you have a problem getting a copy you can go to www.insidestunts.com and check it out and find out where you can acquire a copy.

It is a quarterly publication edited by a stuntman John D Ross who did an interview with me last fall for that season’s copy. This quarters copy covers the RED BULL WORLD STUNT AWARDS with photographs of all the winners, I was nominated again this year but sadly did not win but I am going flat out on MUMMY 3 to develop some stunts that will hopefully get me a nod next year.

Keep up the good work with “INSIDE STUNTS" John, it is my favourite magazine and the only one dedicated to the stunt community

HIGH FALL

August 16th, 2007

This is a high fall I did on "OMEN, THE FINAL CONFLICT".

It was a 100′ fall from a viaduct in Cornwall. I actually directed the Action Unit so I directed my own stunt and then after that I shot a Hunting sequence which was great fun because we used the local hunt and they had some of the best horses and riders I have had on a film in a sequence like that, they could really jump and gallop following the aniseed trail, in fact they got so carried away they disappeared for over an hour.
