Hi Vic,

Really enjoyed the youtube vid. Good luck with the Mummy 3 when it comes out. I’m really looking forward to it. It looks fantastic.

I also tracked down Joshua Tree and was very impressed. I remember meeting you briefly at the Ian Fleming golf dinner a few years ago. You said how you’d like to get the chance to direct a Bond film. I’d just like to say that I’m sad you haven’t (yet) got the opportunity. As a life-long Bond fan (and the new movie is excellent, too, I must say), yours is the best Bond film we never had! In the great tradition of Peter Hunt and John Glen, they should have given you a shot.

What are your feelings too about not being involved in Indy 4 or as Action Unit director on the recent Bonds? I know you have to be diplomatic, but it would be nice to know some ‘truth’.
