Wonderful to see; Always wanted to know WHO of the stunt team worked as extras/nazis in that film. Tip Tipping (we miss him) was in the tank, but beside him?
Now we know...

Hi Vic, thanks for the reply, yes i remember the golf, i think we was put on hold, somthing to do with the weather and clouds? I am not working on hovercrafts no longer that was just a one off. They wanted me because of my Aircraft engineering skills and thought that they would be an asset to keeping the hovercrafs in full working order for the shoot.

I am also an Artist, i draw and paint. I have just finished a drawing of Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones done in colour pencils which i would like for you to see as you worked close to him and give me your comments? Is there any way i could get it to you Vic?

Regards

Of course I remember you Mike and those cold wet days at Chinnor, we shot a great sequence, it was an amazing place really and the water was so blue. I also remember having golf driving challenges and trying to hit one of the guys in a boat in the lake. I hope you are well and are you still working with hovercrafts? Best regards Vic

Hi Vic

You may not remember me? i was one of the small crew that looked after the slingsby hovercraft on the making of Die Another Day. You offered me a lift to the set when we was at Chinnor filming the final stages of the chase scene. On the way i started talking about the time that you was stunt double for Harrison Ford, you replied the good old days and gave me a brief rundown of your experiences working on the Idiana Jones productions. I also met your son Bruce who was picking my brains about an old jet engine that he was messing with.

It was great fun working on the show and i would do it all over again even though i was wet most of the time and had sand in my boots.

So thanks for the lift Vic and it was great to meet and talk to a director and stunt legend.

Best Wishes

Hello Vic...thanks for your time.
I've always liked rodeos, I suppose it's that cowboy thing because there aren't many in Brum where I live.
I can't recall a rodeo setting in any of the Bond films.Watching clips of bull riding on youtube it struck me that this event might make a good backdrop for an action scene.
Bull riding is in itself a heartstopping, spectacular event. On the big screen it would be even better. The bulls are frightening and the riders are mental.
I thought if Bond was in a fight scene in the bull pens, scrambling beneath the flying hooves and avoiding being crushed or gored, mixed with outside shots of an actual bull riding competition, it might make for a thrilling sequence.
Bond is actually crushed between the bull and a post and he collapses on the floor badly shaken. A rodeo clown arrives just in time to distract the enraged beast while Bond manages to crawl out of the pen. We then discover that beneath the red nose and baggy trousers the clown is a beautiful young lady. In due course Bond beds the young lady. She drools as he gets out of bed, naked, to answer his phone. It's M. She says ' where the hell have you been..and don't give me one of your cock and bull stories'.

I have some other ideas but in the meantime your comments would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers...Arthur
