Hi Jonathan, thanks for all your support over the years and your campaigning for a Knighthood it is very flattering. The British movie business is picking up again though but it would be nice to have stages further North as well. Keep in touch and we may meet up again in the not too distant future. I am in Shreveport, Louisiana at the moment and it is hot hot hot. Take care and see you sometime Warm regards Vic

Vic what I would love to do is get the Government to invest in infrastructure in the UK to attract the Hollywood and other big budget investors. The UK Film Council with all its lottery loot failed to get state of the art film sound stages built in the Midlands and The North. The land is now cheap/free and the councils very willing. Even better with both theme parks such as Disney/Universal, and a much bigger bolder version of Project Pinewood (even if not to scale icons and sets for Paris, Venice, Amsterdam, New York, etc but also sci-fi, spaceships, Pyramids, Moscow, Beijing etc). this can bring tourist and merchandising revenue into the film industry.
The best two sound stages should be named VIC ARMSTRONG and ANDY ARMSTRONG.
I will also try to get the delay in making James Bond 23 seen as a Godsend. A chance to give you the helm and make the best James Bond 007 ever. If not, James Bond 24 to be directed by you, EVEN if we have to do a tee-shirt campaign and get an internet logo campaign with a link to your site.
All the very best to the family.

Vic,
There is no doubt alongside the knighthood, they should finally let you direct the next 007 James Bond movie.

Plus The Dutch should give you a top honour for your services to their film industry as well...how else could they have the greatest speedboat chase ever in a low budget movie AMSTERDAMNED ?

Mr. Armstrong:
Paul Grondahl of the Albany Times Union here. I've covered lots of movies shot in the Albany area over the past 25 yrs. and am a friend of Phil Caruso, who lives locally and shoots stills for the film industry. He said he's worked on some movies with you and suggested I contact you. Could I interview you about being stunt coordinator of "Salt" while you're still in Albany? Let me know. Thanks. Paul Grondahl
